It is heartwarming to note Infinity are receiving national recognition for doing things differently.  In the recent ifa Excellence Awards, Infinity Financial Advisors made a name for ourselves for our unique investment approach and our contrarian view to the traditional “set and forget” mindset.

Our Managing Director, Andrew Masson, started Infinity after an extensive career in stockbroking where he grew tired of watching advisors set up portfolios only to leave them dormant until their once-a-year review. This all too common trend of inaction in the industry is being referred to in the banking royal commission as, “fee for no service”.

Andrew knew there was a better way to maximise funds, so he started Infinity where portfolios are actively managed, day-in day-out. We think it’s great that the royal commission is highlighting a significant issue in our industry: advisors charging clients for below-average returns.

The Infinity team live and breathe investing and know that it’s in the daily management of money that gains are made. This active approach to investment has paid off for Infinity Financial Advisors as we were shortlisted for the prestigious ifa Excellence Awards, 2018. We were also in the running to win Boutique Advice Firm of the Year, 2018. Andrew Masson was nominated for Investment Advisor of the Year.

We asked Andrew about the nominations, and he said: “I dared to challenge the status quo by starting Infinity so, to receive the recognition from ifa after only two years in business is a huge honour. We are looking forward to a future where clients are empowered to choose advisors who will work hard to maximise their returns.”
